Essteka's DC Comics fanmake files Entry One: Hades

Real Name: Unknown, but has gone under several aliases, including James Hamill, Mark Napier and Jack Woods.

Occupation: Former mob enforcer, now mutated super-criminal

Abilities: Extremely cunning criminal mind; Brilliant at chemistry and mechanical engineering; Limited range teleportation (affording him the maneuverability to frequently dodge Bathog's attacks despite the hero's ability to move faster than the speed of sound); Pyrokinesis (in addition to shooting fireballs from his hands, he can also start and control fires at a limited distance); Limited degree of superhuman strength (while his physical strength is nowhere near the levels of a high-level powerhouse like Super Mario or Wonder Mulan [the latter has also been Dragon Woman because of the dragon-like nature of her powers], he can still lift five tons with supreme effort at normal size [see later on]) and durability (while not invulnerable, he DOES have sufficent durability to compensate for his other powers and to be able to take several hits from the super-fast and martial arts trained Bathog before going down); Regenerative healing (while technically not immortal, he can recover from assorted wounds, burns and fractures a hundred times more quickly than a normal person [providing the wound is not of an INSTANTLY fatal nature {such as decapitation}] and survive falls, toxins and explosions that would be fatal to most other people); Can grow to up to ten times his normal size (with the appropriate increase in proportionate strength, durability and fire-shooting power)

Personality: Highly insane and has a twisted, morbid sense of humor, but still intelligent enough to be a clever planner and a brilliant chemist/mechanical engineer. His principle weaknesses are his massive ego (for example, he rarely uses his powers [aside from his durability and healing factor, both of which are automatic] except when forced into in direct physical combat because of an obsession with proving he can be a capable villain without them and he tends to employ needlessly elaborate death traps to deal with Bathog rather than finishing him off in a plain and simple manner because he wants his victory over his greatest enemy to be the crowning achievement of his criminal career and, thus, to be done in a spectacular manner) and frequently-explosive temper, but he is capable of demonstating a mildly goofball charm when he's actually calm and/or trying to trick somebody into cooperating. Geniunely believes himself to be the Greek God of the Dead (and the fact he DOES have a few of the super-powers to back up his delusions only makes matters worse). Obsessively hates Bathog and is determined that the hero's end is to come at nobody's hands but his own.

Physical Appearance:  A slender-but-physically-fit six-and-a-half feet tall (at normal size; he CAN grow to up to 65 feet tall). Before his chemical bath, he was a Caucasian with medium brown hair and blue eyes who typically wore standard suits. Now, his skin is mostly dark blue with perpetual blue flame for hair and he typically wears a dark grey shirt and a toga that is an even darker blue than his skin. He also has a permanent grin.

Known Associates: Mimi (his chief henchwoman); Pain and Panic (a pair of bumbling mutant shape-shifters who have even better regenerative healing abilities than their boss); Cerebrus (his giant, three-headed mutant dog); He's also teamed up with assorted other villains on rare occasion, but these alliances tend to be short lived.

Principle Enemies: Bathog, Flicky and Bat-Rabbit as well as, to a lesser extent, the Toon Gotham police.

Background: Not much is known about the youth of this former hitman turned mutated super-villain; not even his real name. All that's really known is that, at the time of his chemical bath, he was an experienced mafia enforcer who had become, for all intents and purposes, the second-in-command of one of Toon Gotham's top mob figures. He and assorted henchmen broke into the Olympus Chemical Factory to both rob it and blow it up, but Bathog (when the hero was basically just starting out) interfered with the caper.

Though Bathog managed to thwart the attempt to rob/blow up the factory AND capture the henchmen, he was unable to prevent Mark Napier (as he was calling himself at the time) from falling into a chemical vat (one of the VERY few times Bathog was not fast ENOUGH). Instead of finishing him off, however, the chemicals ended up changing Napier forever; turning his skin permanently dark blue, transforming his hair into perpetual flame amd twisting his mouth into a fearsome grin. The chemicals also ended up giving the former mob hitman somewhat increased physical strength and durability, plus limited pyrokinetic, size-shifting and teleportation powers and a limited healing factor. However, the new powers came at the cost of what once passed for his sanity. From that point on, he geniunely believed himself to be the Greek God of the dead Hades, which is what he has called himself ever since.

Because of his combination of brains, power and insanity, Hades has been one of Bathog's most dangerous enemies for many years (if not his VERY most dangerous enemy), with a body count well into the hundreds. Certainly, Hades is his most PERSISTANT adversary and has, on many occasions, come dangerously close to finishing off the Hedgehog Knight. In fact, the hero has sometimes only triumphed by the very narrowest of margins.
This is the first of a series of files I plan on doing as a favor for Essteka. This is for Hades, who will be portraying the Joker in Essteka's series of DC Comics fanmakes (note: many fan fiction writers have stopped calling them parodies because they don't tend to mock the source material, which, by definition, a parody is supposed to do).

His personality is primarily that of the DC Animated Universe version of the Joker (with the twist of him geniunely believing himself to be the Greek God of the Dead), but I hope Essteka doesn't mind that I let Hades keep some of his canon powers (at a reduced scale) to allow him SOME faithfulness to his roots AND to make Sonic/Bathog's victories over him to look more, well, heroic.

Sonic, Tails (who, as Flicky, represents Robin) and Cream (who, as Bat Rabbit, represents Batgirl) are owned and copyrighted by SEGA

The Disney version of Hades is owned and copyrighted by Well, Disney; as are Pain and Panic and Cerebrus (the latter of whom represents both Bud and Lou [the Joker's hyenas in the DC Animated Universe]) and the Disney version of Mulan (who represents Wonder Woman)

Mario (who represents Superman) and Mimi (a character from the Mario Games [specifically Super Paper Mario 2] who represents Harley Quinn) are owned and copyrighted by Nintendo

Batman, Robin, Batgirl, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Gotham City, Superman and Wonder Woman are owned and copyrighted by DC Comics

James Woods and Mark Hamill are both owned and copyrighted by themselves. :-D

Therefore, this is written entirely for fun with absolutely no profit motive.
